Eric Schmid joined the Grant Cooper team as a Research Strategist in 2016 after graduating with a BS in Health Management from Saint Louis University. Eric brings this understanding of health system leadership, finance, and organization to bear in his sourcing strategies as he assists Grant Cooper to identify impactful candidates. Since joining the firm, Eric has helped highly regarded healthcare organizations find talented executives selectively tailored to their institutional needs. Working in tandem with Senior Consultants, Eric has sourced candidates for some of the nation’s most highly regarded healthcare organizations. In his off hours, Eric diligently hunts for new bands and roots for the Green Bay Packers.
Before joining Grant Cooper as a Research Strategist in 2016, Adam Migdalski spent two years honing his candidate sourcing skills with a contingent staffing agency. There, he gained experience in candidate generation for multiple industries including accounting, healthcare, IT, and investment banking. Adam is adept in navigating a variety of databases and internet resources to support Grant Cooper’s Senior Consultants. Since joining the firm, Adam has continued to expand his talents while contributing considerably to searches for Grant Cooper’s medical group, manufacturing, and non-profit clients. When he’s not applying his fluency in Boolean to candidate acquisition, Adam dabbles in Polish and Spanish.
Abby Walsh joined Grant Cooper as a Research Strategist in 2016 after graduating from Saint Louis University’s College of Public Health and Social Justice. Before starting her career in executive search, Abby worked on the provider side of healthcare, facilitating patient care and research at major St. Louis area hospitals including Mercy Hospital, Missouri Baptist, and Saint Louis University Hospital. Abby brings this provider’s perspective to her searches as she works with the clients and Grant Cooper’s Senior Consultants to develop a focused candidate recruitment strategy for each engagement. Since joining the firm, Abby has participated in searches for nationally-recognized academic medical centers, freestanding hospitals, and managed care organizations.
Sarah Mandziara joined Grant Cooper in 2014 following three years in the insurance industry as a Personal Lines Underwriter and Customer Services Advocate. Prior to that, she worked with the YMCA of Greater St. Louis for more than a decade. Sarah interacts directly with candidates and clients throughout all stages of the search process and has broad experience working both in healthcare and other industry segments. Outside of work she can be found on the sidelines, cheering on her three sons at rugby and hockey games. Sarah earned her BS in Business Administration and Fashion Marketing from Lindenwood University.
Linda Menke came to Grant Cooper in 2010 with more than 20 years of experience as an Executive Administrator. Prior to her arrival, Linda worked as an Executive Assistant for American Recreation Products, and assisted the CEO and Vice President of Butler Supply, one of the largest independent distributors of plumbing and electrical supplies in the Midwest. At Grant Cooper, she has coordinated 12 searches for the University of Mississippi, 10 for Greenville Health System, and 10 for the University of Kentucky. Outside of the office, Linda cherishes every opportunity to spend time with her 14 grandchildren.
Gailynn Campbell has provided administrative support to top-tier executives for more than 30 years. Since joining Grant Cooper in 2008, she has facilitated nearly 40 searches with Geisinger Health System, 30 with the University of Arkansas, and 15 with the University of Maryland. In past roles, Gailynn has worked as a wedding planner, a floral arranger, an interior decorator, a gymnastics coach, and a co-owner of three different companies. Gailynn earned her BS in Education from Southwest Missouri State University, and as Grant Cooper’s resident Elvis fan, she is always taking care of business.
Throughout her nearly 35-year career, Denise Kaatman has provided administrative support to executives in a diverse array of industries spanning the consumer goods, professional services, and energy sectors. Since joining Grant Cooper in 2005, she has been the primary point of contact for 25 searches for Vanderbilt University Medical Center, 18 for Oschner Health System, 16 for Aurora Health Care, and 13 for Carolinas HealthCare. Denise in an avid Cardinal’s fan, and even worked for a time as an usherette at Busch Stadium.
As Grant Cooper’s resident technology expert since 2010, Nathan Want has addressed technical questions and created capabilities ranging from the simple to the complex. Throughout his tenure as Director of Technology, Nathan has designed and built custom applications for the research department, engineered and implemented processes for data management, and developed a centralized database to supplement and manage candidate profiles and research data. Before joining Grant Cooper, Nathan built custom circuit boards for a manufacturer of nondestructive ultrasonic instruments, managed the front desk of an engineering library, and tutored college level students in science and mathematics. Though his programming knowledge was self-taught, Nathan is currently pursuing his Masters in Computer Science from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
Before joining Grant Cooper more than a decade ago, Mary Ann Barnes served as the Vice President of Accounting for a major medical book distributor. Prior to that, she served as Controller of the distributor’s retail division, working directly with medical universities for more than 17 years. She also partnered with a CPA firm to establish accounting programs and procedures for their small business clients. Mary Ann brings more than 25 years of accounting experience to Grant Cooper, and built the company’s internal accounting system from the ground up. Mary Ann contributes her skills to the Northside Community School, where she helped establish an accounting system and serves on the school’s Finance Committee. She has a BS in Business and Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from St. Louis University.
Julie Pinkston joined Grant Cooper in 2009 as a Senior Consultant, conducting executive searches in a variety of settings including academic healthcare, integrated delivery networks, community-based health systems, physician group practices, and other industry sectors like manufacturing and supply chain management. In 2014, Julie transitioned into the role of Chief Operating Officer and now oversees daily operations for the firm. Prior to joining Grant Cooper, Julie recruited talent to a broad array of industries including the military health system, a billion-dollar diversified industrial firm, and a leading specialty pharmaceutical company. Julie holds a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing, Management, and Organizational Behavior from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
