The Hospital Vice President & Chief Nursing Officer, Patient Care Services at Audubon Hospital serves as the chief nurse executive ensuring the coordination and direction of nursing & patient care in accordance with the Norton Healthcare Strategic Plan and in alignment with the traditions of service excellence for Norton Healthcare. This includes participation in the development of strategies and tactics relative to the professional practice of nursing within the system and collaborating with other hospital and system administration to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations related to the delivery of nursing & patient care services. Also directs the implementation of nursing policies and procedures and standards including an effective and flexible staffing plan.
The incumbent in this role provides leadership and has accountability to the hospital Chief Administrative Officer for achieving quality of care outcomes, improvement and attainment of patient satisfaction & experience survey results, creating and fostering an engaging environment that attracts and retains staff, and ensuring patient service margins are attained. This position assists in creating and sustaining a collaborative and collegial environment with the other hospitals and system medical staff. The incumbent will demonstrate highly developed communication skills and a well-developed ability to influence others. This position provides clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of quality nursing care, treatment, and services in their hospital. This position will engage with the system’s Chief Nursing Officer and other clinical leaders in the system’s decision making process.
