The Vice President, Total Rewards and HR Services leads the design, execution and operations of all compensation, benefits, employee service center, HR Information System (HRIS), and employee health programs and systems to complement Ochsner’s strategic business direction. The team consists of Assistant Vice President of Benefits; Director of Compensation; Director of HRIS; Director of Employee Health; analysts, specialists and employee service center representatives.
The position will report directly to the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer and will oversee a total of 30 team members including five direct reports. This position sits on the HR Leadership Team with the Vice President, Talent Management; Vice President, Talent Acquisition; Assistant Vice President, Ochsner Learning Institute, and three HR Business Partners for client groups. The Vice President of Total Rewards works collaboratively with several functions, including finance, managed care, physician staff services and pharmacy. This position requires both the ability to operate at a strategic level with senior executives, as well as at a tactical and execution-oriented level on a day-to-day basis.
- Bachelor’s Degree; a Master’s Degree or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive, hands-on total rewards experience at a best in class company.
- Demonstrated executive presence with executive presentation and influencing experience.
- Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions.
- Mergers/acquisition experience.
- Specialized experience and training in compensation, benefits and HRIS.
- Exceptional communications and influencing skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to present complex data in an easy to understand format.
