The goal of the Chief, is to build a federally funded research program, consistent with departmental and School of Medicine long-term goals. Position Overview

The University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking an established investigator to assume the highly respected position of Vice Chair, Patient Safety and Outcomes Research, Department of Anesthesiology. The goal of the Vice Chair, Patient Safety and Outcomes Research is to design and implement SCORE: Patient Safety, Clinical Outcomes, Clinical Research, Effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • MD and/or PhD, or equivalent degree in a related field.
  • History of federal funding for clinical outcomes and patient safety research.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience including administrative background and skills.
  • Qualifications to fulfill the University of Maryland criteria for associate professor or professor level faculty appointment.
