Connecticut Children’s Specialty Group is a multi-specialty pediatric group practice of nearly 200 physicians in more than 20 pediatric specialty areas. In addition to providing world-class medical care and service to children, its physicians are also faculty members of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, who train aspiring physicians and lead groundbreaking pediatric research to improve children’s health today and in the future. Connecticut Children’s Medical Center is a nationally recognized, 187-bed not-for-profit children’s hospital serving as the primary teaching hospital for the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the senior leader is responsible for optimizing the clinical and financial performance, as well as the contribution to Connecticut Children’s organizational goals, strategy, vision, and mission. Must be able to synthesize various priorities of internal constituencies, demands of external stakeholders and customers, and environmental drivers to lead and direct the overall short term direction and long-term focus of the Group.
This requires forming effective working relationships with all formal Group medical leaders, informal Group opinion leaders, and key performers, other Group senior administrative staff and a wide array of Hospital administrative leaders and staff.
- MD or equivalent degree.
- MBA preferred.
- Five or more years of senior administrative experience in an integrated group practice setting.
