Reporting to the Senior Medical Director of Envolve PeopleCare, the Medical Director of Behavioral Health will direct and coordinate the medical management, quality improvement, and credentialing functions for the Behavioral Health business unit. This role will provide medical leadership of all for utilization management, cost containment, and medical quality improvement activities. The Medical Director of Behavioral Health will also provide medical expertise in the operation of approved quality improvement and utilization management programs in accordance with regulatory, state, corporate, and accreditation requirements.
- MD or DO, board certified in Psychiatry and is an actively practicing physician.
- Experience within a managed care organization is preferred.
- Experience in substance abuse is preferred.
- Course work in the areas of health administration, health financing, insurance, and/or personnel.
- Management is preferred.
- Experience treating or managing care for a culturally diverse population preferred.
