South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine has been serving the Treasure Coast since 1995 and has been the community’s largest independent orthopaedic practice for over 25 years. South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine has a depth of surgical specialties offering comprehensive care on a world-class level with 21 physicians as of September 2022 who specialize in orthopaedic surgery, PM&R, anesthesiology/pain management, and podiatric surgery. In addition, there is a dedicated team of Physician Assistants, Physical Therapists/PTAs, and Occupational Therapists who work closely with our physicians to assess and treat patients before and after surgery.  South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine offers care at two large main locations in Stuart and Tradition, Florida. An Ortho-injury Walk-in clinic is available at the Tradition location. An additional office in Jupiter provides limited services.

About the role

South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is recruiting for an experienced, innovative health care executive with the ability to balance strategic decisions and financial discipline with a hands-on approach to leadership, resulting in strong employee, patient, and physician satisfaction.

The successful candidate should be an engaging communicator and relationship builder with experience in leading management initiatives that have contributed to the success of a similar-sized clinical practice across a variety of measures including practice growth, operational efficiency and effectiveness, employee retention, growth and engagement and optimizing physician collaboration and engagement in the practice.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited university with a degree in healthcare management or related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience as an administrator in a multi physician healthcare clinic.  Master’s Degree (MBA or similar) preferred

Significant senior leadership experience in an agile, high-performing organization, experience within orthopaedic services is required

Must have demonstrated through prior experience the capability of building an operational infrastructure that can support current business and projected growth of an organization with similar dynamics, and have a vision for sustained growth and profitability of the company while offering the highest quality to patients

Strong background in revenue cycle operations, AR management, revenue optimization, and depth in both front-end and back-end revenue cycle success.

Disciplined, analytical, process-oriented, operational leader capable of executing against a strategy/vision and delivering tangible operational excellence and financial results

Experience with health insurance negotiation, bundled payment development and contracting experience

Effective, articulate communicator with the ability to lead both the operational and clinical aspects of the business; consensus builder

Strong interpersonal skills; skilled in conflict resolution at various levels of an organization
