Novant Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgeon to contribute to the system’s heart and vascular services. Presbyterian Medical Center is a 622-bed tertiary medical center that offers a wide variety of services including heart bypass surgery, atrial septal defect surgery, laser transmyocardial revascularization, ventricular aneurysm surgery, valve repair or replacement, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and radio frequency maze. Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center holds the Society of Thoracic Surgeons’ coveted 3-star rating, the organization’s highest rating for heart surgery programs. Only 13.5 percent of all cardiac surgery hospitals in the U.S. received this top ranking. The Cardiovascular Surgeon will be part of the Novant Heart and Vascular Institute a fully, integrated, multi-disciplinary service line approach for all cardiac, vascular and thoracic services that includes 54 physicians, 112 advance practice clinicians, over 41,000 inpatient/outpatient acute cases and nearly 30,000 new patient encounters annually.
- Team oriented surgeon, skilled in all aspects of cardiac surgery, including CABG, valvular, and aortic surgery. Transcatheter aortic valve replacement and ventricular assist device expertise preferred.
- Board certification in cardiovascular surgery.
- Strong clinical acumen; ability to engage and grow active and thriving program.
