Position Overview

Responsible for overall planning and management of the Information Technology ambulatory services. Work collaboratively with members of the executive teams to ensure alignment with Mission Health strategic and business objectives. Provide leadership and oversight to the EHR adoption & physician champion for the selected PM/EHR software application. Act as the liaison between coding and the MMA medical staff to facilitate improvement in quality and completeness of medical record documentation to ensure accurate coding and appropriate DRG assignment.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO Degree.
  • Board certification in an American College of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) specialty is required.
  • Eligible for licensure in North Carolina is required.
  • Broad experience in medical practice.
  • Three to five years’ experience with EMR system implementation in an ambulatory setting.
